A 17-year-old boy has been charged with aggravated robbery following an incident in Belconnen in November.
About 8pm on 13 November 2025, a teen approached a woman and her mother sitting at the Belconnen bus interchange, and allegedly demanded cash from the woman.
When she refused, he allegedly produced a large knife and threatened the women.
A short struggle then occurred. The teen allegedly fled the scene with a small bag containing cash.
Police spoke to the victims and reviewed CCTV, and identified the alleged offender.
The wanted teen was found on Saturday night when police attended a Bonner residence for unrelated matters.
Police arrested the youth, who will face the ACT Children’s Court today charged with one count of aggravated robbery using an offensive weapon.
