An 18-year-old man has been charged with multiple family violence offences after allegedly attacking his former partner over a three month period.
Between March and May this year, police allege the man strangled, assaulted and stalked his former partner on various occasions.
In one incident, the man allegedly drove his car down a street while his former partner was on top of the car’s bonnet.
The incidents were recently reported to police and about 4:30pm yesterday, Sunday 24 May, the man was arrested outside Gungahlin Police Station.
He will face the ACT Magistrates Court today, Monday 25 May, charged with two counts of aggravated assault occasioning actual bodily harm, aggravated stalking, acts endangering life with an offensive weapon and act endangering health – strangle.
