On a perfect, crisp autumn morning in the nation’s capital, the 2026 Canberra Balloon Spectacular took flight. Large crowds gathered at Patrick White Lawns and down by the lake as Canberra’s skies filled with around 40 colourful balloons. The event continues each morning (weather permitted) until Sunday 22 March, with balloons inflating from around 6:30am. Updates on whether the balloons will be flying each morning are published on the Canberra Balloon Spectacular website and the Events ACT Facebook page at 6am.
