Man charged with the murder of Irma Palasics to face court

Following an investigation open for more than 23 years, a 68-year-old Rowville man has been extradited from Victoria and is set to appear in the ACT Magistrates Court.

The Melbourne man is set to face court this morning, Friday 21 September, and will be charged with one count of murder.

This charge follows the death of Irma Palasics during a violent home invasion in November 1999.

The circumstances surrounding the homicide are ongoing and a second offender is yet to be identified.

We ask that the Palasics family be given privacy to process this update and encourage anyone who may be able to assist ACT Policing as they continue to investigate Irma’s murder to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
