ACT records 1063 new COVID cases, 49 in hospital

The ACT has recorded 1,063 new COVID cases in the latest update as the number of people in hospital with the virus rose by three.

Of the new cases, 464 were from PCR tests and 599 from RATs.

49 people are in hospital with the virus, four are in intensive care with none requiring ventilation.

There are currently 5,972 active COVID cases in the ACT.

The ACT has reported 75,421 total COVID-19 infections since the start of the pandemic and 39 virus-related deaths.

COVID-19 vaccination numbers

  • Aged 5-11 (1 dose): 80.1 per cent
  • Aged 5-11 (2 doses): 48.6 per cent
  • Aged 5+ (2 doses): 97.8 per cent
  • Aged 16+ (3 doses): 72.8 per cent
