ACT records 599 new COVID-19 cases

The ACT has recorded 599 new COVID-19 cases and the number of people in hospital with the virus has risen.

Of the new cases, 313 were from PCR tests and 286 from RATs.

There are currently 3,880 known active cases in Canberra.

The ACT has now recorded 59,881 total COVID-19 cases since the start of the pandemic and 37 virus-related deaths.

There are now 38 people in hospital with COVID, up from 29 yesterday. The number of people in intensive care is now three with none requiring ventilation.

70.1 per cent of ACT residents aged 16 and over have received three doses of a COVID-19 vaccine, while 79 per cent of children aged between 5 and 11 have had one dose.
