ATM stolen in Majura Park ram-raid falls off getaway vehicle

An ATM stolen in a ram-raid at Majura Park Shopping Centre this morning fell from a vehicle on Majura Road, causing a temporary road closure.

ACT Policing is investigating the ram-raid after police and ACT Fire & Rescue responded to reports of a vehicle fire in Majura about 6am today, Friday 11 November. 

Police investigations suggest this vehicle was involved in a ram-raid that occurred about 4am, during which an ATM was stolen from the premises. 

The ATM fell from a vehicle on Majura Road which was closed for a short time. 

There have been no reported injuries.  

Police are investigating a ram-raid at Majura Park Shopping Centre in which an ATM was stolen in the early hours of Friday morning, 11 November.

Anyone who witnessed suspicious behavior early this morning in Majura Park is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website. Please quote 7268356. 

Local businesses and anyone with dash cam footage are urged to come forward to police.
