Discover more at the ACT Seniors Expo

Canberra’s older residents are invited to discover what’s on offer locally at the ACT Seniors and Better Ageing Expo, returning to the historic Old Bus Depot Building in Kingston on Wednesday 23 and Thursday 24 September.

With more than 150 exhibitors under one roof, the Expo brings together information, services and opportunities for older Canberrans. Visitors can explore everything from aged care, home support and retirement living to health and wellbeing, legal and financial advice, hobbies, social groups and community activities.

It’s a chance to ask questions, gather practical information, plan for the future – or simply spend the day discovering something new.

Getting to the Expo is easy, with free travel on Transport Canberra bus and light rail services available for all Expo attendees. Simply let your bus driver, Transit Enforcement Officer or CMET Customer Service Officer know that you are travelling to the Expo when boarding, or if asked. There’s no need to tap on or off.

For those driving, free Park & Ride is available at Fyshwick, with the R2 bus running directly to the Expo. A free Northside Community Service shuttle will also operate regularly between the National Library forecourt at Parkes Place West and the Old Bus Depot Building.

Accessible parking for vehicles displaying a disabled parking permit is available in the rear car park, with entry via Printers Way. Please note that this car park will not be open until 15 minutes before the Expo’s scheduled start time each day.

Once there, visitors can browse the stalls, enjoy local food and coffee, and catch live presentations and entertainment on the Community Stage. Highlights include performances by the Australian Rugby Choir and the Royal Military College Band.

Whether you’re looking for useful information, exploring your options for the future or simply after a great day out, the ACT Seniors and Better Ageing Expo has something for everyone.
