Elderly cyclist dies after crash near Batemans Bay

A man believed to be aged in his 80s has died in after a bicycle crash near Batemans Bay this afternoon, Wednesday 12 February.

At about 1:50pm, emergency services were called to Hector William Drive, Tuross Head, about 45km south of Batemans Bay, following reports a cyclist was found unresponsive.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the man at the scene but he could not be revived.

Initial inquiries suggest the cyclist crashed into a parked car.

The man is yet to be formally identified.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
