Goodwin Aged Care Services has marked a significant milestone in its commitment to workforce development with the graduation of its inaugural cohort from the Emerging Leadership Program. This initiative, delivered in partnership with Corporate Edge, equips high-potential team members with the skills, confidence, and mindset to lead in the evolving aged care landscape.

Learning through experience

Participants engaged in a dynamic blend of learning methods, including hands-on activities and real-world scenarios that allowed them to apply new concepts immediately through experiential learning. They also received personalised coaching with tailored sessions and 360-degree feedback to identify their strengths and areas for growth, fostering greater self-awareness.

Peer-to-peer learning provided a supportive environment through collaborative discussions, and peer coaching enabled participants to share insights with like-minded colleagues.

Shaping confident leaders

The curriculum focused on essential leadership capabilities crucial for success in a demanding industry. Graduates are now equipped with the tools to lead high-performing teams, learning how to motivate, engage, and align people with organisational goals to build a positive and productive culture. The program also emphasised strategic communication, developing the ability to lead difficult conversations, provide constructive feedback, and inspire others.

Finally, participants strengthened their capacity to navigate change and buildresilience, allowing them to adapt to complex challenges and maintain their own wellbeing.
