Home invasion in Charnwood: witnesses sought

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses and dash-cam footage of a home invasion that occurred in Charnwood yesterday afternoon, Thursday 11 November.

About 1pm, two men allegedly entered a Charnwood home, wearing hoods and masks, while a female resident was home.

The men made demands of property and took a mobile phone after pushing the woman over.

The woman ran from the house and alerted neighbours. A short time later, several men ran from the rear of the house.

One man was picked up by a blue Ford Falcon G6E which left the area at speed and was seen running through red lights shortly after at the Barton Highway and Clarrie Hermes Drive intersection.

Another three men ran down the street to a separate unknown waiting vehicle.

Police are interested in dash-cam or CCTV footage of the blue Falcon or the men acting suspiciously in the area around 12.30pm to 1.30pm.

Anyone who witnessed the home invasion incident in Charnwood, has dash-cam footage of the Falcon or has information that can assist police is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
