ACT Policing is investigating the death of a 46-year-old woman in a Belconnen unit fire as homicide.

Police and emergency services were called to the fire at Osborne Place, Belconnen, about 6.40am on Monday 18 May.

When they arrived, they found Kylee McHugh, the resident of the unit. She was declared deceased at the scene.

Detectives from ACT Policing’s Homicide Squad investigators are now appealing for public assistance as they investigate the circumstances of her death.

Police want to speak with anyone who had contact with Ms McHugh in the three days before her death.

They are also seeking any dashcam or CCTV footage recorded between 9pm on Sunday 17 May and 7am on Monday 18 May in the area bounded by College Street, Haydon Drive, Belconnen Way, and Eastern Valley Way.
