Man dies in Murrumbateman crash on Easter Monday

A man has died following a two-vehicle crash in Murrumbateman this afternoon, Monday 21 April.

Just after 2pm, emergency services were called to the Barton Highway, Murrumbateman, following reports of a crash.

Officers attached to The Hume Police District attended and found a red Toyota hatchback and a black Holden utility had collided.

One driver, a man believed to be aged in his 60s, was treated at the scene by ambulance paramedics and first responders, however, he died enroute to hospital.

The other driver and occupants of the second vehicle were not seriously injured.

A crime scene was established and investigations by officers from The Hume Police District into the circumstances of the crash has commenced.

As investigations continue, anyone who witnessed the crash or has dash-cam footage is asked to call Yass Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
