Man dies, woman airlifted to Canberra Hospital after crash on Kings Highway near Braidwood

A man has died and a woman is in a serious condition after a single-vehicle crash on the Kings Highway, Braidwood.

About 10am today, Thursday 2 April, emergency services were dispatched following reports of a crash.

Officers found a vehicle had left the highway and crashed into a paddock.

The driver – a man believed to be aged in his early 80s – was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics, however; he died at the scene.

A passenger, a woman believed to be aged in her 70s, was airlifted to Canberra Hospital in a serious condition.

Police established a crime scene and commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
