Man drowns at NSW South Coast beach

A man believed to be in his 60s has died after being pulled from the surf on the NSW South Coast this morning, Monday 27 May.

Just after 8:45am, emergency services were called to Seven Mile Beach, Shoalhaven Heads, following reports a man was unresponsive in the water.

Members of the public commenced CPR before the arrival of NSW Ambulance paramedics; however, he was unable to be revived.

The man is yet to be formally identified.

Officers attached to South Coast Police District have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
