Motorcyclist dies in Gungahlin Drive single-vehicle accident

A motorcyclist has tragically passed away following a single-vehicle accident last night, marking the seventh road fatality in the ACT this year.

At approximately 5:50pm on Friday 25 October, a 28-year-old man lost control of his motorcycle while entering Gungahlin Drive from the Barton Highway on-ramp, resulting in a fall.

Witnesses provided first aid on the scene, and the ACT Ambulance Service transported the man to the hospital in critical condition. Sadly, he was pronounced dead shortly after arriving.

The Major Collision Team has initiated an investigation, with several witnesses already interviewed.
