Everyone knows someone making a difference.
So why not celebrate these people with a nomination in the Lifeline Canberra Spirit of Canberra Awards.
Nominations are now open to the public for the 2025 awards.
The awards celebrate and acknowledge those who inspire positive change across our city.
These awards shine a light on the individuals, businesses and organisations improving the social, economic, environmental, or cultural wellbeing of the Canberra community.
Whether you’re a changemaker, a business making a meaningful impact, part of a purpose-driven organisation, or know someone who deserves recognition — now is the time to put them forward.
“Our role at Lifeline is to ensure that we continue to come together as a community, to instill compassion and kindness in every connection,” Lifeline Canberra chief executive officer Carrie Leeson said.
“These awards allow us to engage in a meaningful conversation about the inspiring impact individuals, businesses and organisations have on our community, in an exciting and fresh way,”
An awards ceremony will be held on Thursday 16 October 2025 at Old Parliament House to honour the nominees and announce this year’s recipients.
Lifeline Canberra and the Spirit of Canberra judging panel invite you to reflect on those who uplift and inspire — and to help us celebrate their incredible contributions.
There are four award categories to choose from:
- Spirit of Resilience – Celebrating individuals who have overcome adversity and are helping others through their lived experience.
- Spirit of Hope – Open to individuals or businesses with a bold vision for Canberra’s future, actively working to make it real.
- Spirit of Impact – Recognising businesses, teams, groups and organisations that are driving meaningful change in our community.
- People’s Choice Award – Voted by the public from among the finalists.
