A Richardson man has been charged with multiple offences following search warrant activity at his home yesterday.
Last week police received information about possible firearms and drug offences being committed at a residence in Richardson.
A search warrant was granted and yesterday afternoon, Saturday 30 May, Detectives from the Tuggeranong Major Crime Squad attended the residence.
Soon after, a 43-year-old man returned to the residence and attempted to enter a neighbours home, causing damage in the process. He was arrested at the scene.
During the search warrant, police located:
- Eight small cannabis plants
- Three large cannabis plants
- Dried cannabis
- Heat lamps and hydroponic equipment
- Approximately three grams of a substance believed to be methamphetamine
- Two air-guns and a gel-blaster
- Nine vials of anabolic steroids
The man was subsequently charged with unauthorised possession of firearms, cultivate a cannabis plant for sale, possess equipment for cultivating a controlled plant, possess drug of dependence, possess anabolic steroid, attempt burglary and property damage. He is expected to appear in the ACT Magistrates Court tomorrow, Monday 1 June.
