Cape Street in Dickson has been closed after reports of a gas smell in the area.
ACT Fire & Rescue were called to the scene and are currently responding to the HAZMAT incident.
Investigations are underway and Cape Street will remain closed for some time.
People are being asked to please avoid the area.
