The Federal Government’s decision to reallocate nearly $86 million from road infrastructure to light rail has left many wondering if the tram to Woden is on the right track.
The Canberra Liberals claim the sale of public housing assets went towards funding the light rail, rather than much-needed public housing, but the ACT Government insist the opposition ‘mischaracterised and conflated’ the financing of the renewal program.
