There has been a lot of talk in the media over the last few years about teacher shortages, workload pressure and psychosocial hazards in the teaching profession.

During the term break, I attended a Steiner education conference in Noosa where Hugh Mackay spoke on building cohesion in schools and society.

At Orana Steiner School, we are very fortunate to have a new, beautiful, and functional music centre officially opening on Wednesday 27 March. Students and staff are already settling in as lessons began in the new building from the first day of the school year.

There is a great feeling of optimism and purpose as the students and staff at Orana Steiner School settle into the new school year.
