School holiday snow-goers were not discouraged by wild weather in the NSW snowfields over the weekend, as 85cm of fresh snow had fallen on Thredo by Monday afternoon 13 July.
The Snowy Monaro Regional Council is looking forward to welcoming visitors back to the region after a challenging start to the year due to bushfires, COVID-19 and ongoing drought.
While the Queen’s Birthday long weekend traditionally marks the opening of the snow season, skiers and boarders will have to wait a little longer to hit the slopes this year with the alpine region to open from Monday 22 June.
