Teen boy dies after crashing bicycle at Stromlo Forest Park

Sadly, a 14-year-old boy has died after he crashed his bicycle at Stromlo Forest Park over the weekend.

At about 2:40pm on Saturday 4 April, the boy came off his bicycle at the Stromlo Forest Park.

The boy was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. Sadly, he has since passed away from his injuries.

The area is being considered as a road related area as Stromlo Forest Park is open to the public and designated for use by cyclists. This brings the ACT road toll for 2026 to 8.

ACT Road Policing’s Major Collision Team is investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.

Anyone who witnessed the incident and has not already spoken with police is urged to contact Crime Stoppers ACT via the Crime Stoppers ACT website. Please quote reference number 8349013.
