UnitingCare Kippax: Christmas charity campaign

UnitingCare Kippax and Kippax Uniting Church will deliver Christmas gifts — toys, vouchers, and festive hampers — to more than 700 families facing financial hardship due to rising living costs.

“UnitingCare Kippax is committed to making sure that no child wakes up without a gift and no family misses out on a celebratory Christmas meal,” CEO Michael Lynch said.

UnitingCare Kippax provides wraparound community services for people in the West Belconnen community experiencing significant life changes or hardships.

The Christmas Campaign will run from Monday 8 December to Friday 19 December. Donations of festive food, toys, and gifts are welcome. The public can also donate via EFT or by scanning the QR code on the campaign website.

“We can brighten Christmas morning for hundreds of families,” Mr Lynch said. “Every donation counts, and brings us closer to our goal of spreading hope and joy.”

Volunteer “elves” — including students from St Francis Xavier College — will prepare and distribute gifts and hampers.

Kippax Uniting Church will host a free Christmas lunch at the church from 12pm on 25 December. All are welcome to attend.
