What’s On: St Patrick’s Day weekend at the Zoo

The National Zoo & Aquarium celebrates St Patricks Day with a full weekend of family friendly activities!

The Spirit of St Patricks takes over our zoo with lawn games, roving entertainment, Irish music and delicious Irish food. The weekend is extra special as it will also celebrate ‘Frogs & Bears’ in honour of World Frog Day and World Bear Day. The passionate conservation team NZACT will have an education stall with some hoppy friends for you to learn about! There’s so much fun to be had at the National Zoo and Aquarium, Canberra’s ‘Centre of Adventure’.

Wild Discoveries: 

Come meet our amazing NZACT team and learn what you can do to protect your backyard neighbours and animals all around the world from 10am-2pm each day

Wild Fun: 

Lawn Games – Challenge friends and family to outdoor fun with bean bag toss, mini golf, ring toss, and other traditional lawn games.

Roving Entertainment – Take a happy snap with our roving entertainment as they kick you into gear with St Patricks Day cheer

Wild Feasts:

Take a journey to Ireland and enjoy traditional Irish food at our Rhino Bistro

Wild Tunes on the Savannah:

Take the family out for a jig as you dance away to local Canberra Irish band ‘Humbug’ from 11am-2pm each day.
