Canberrans are invited to enjoy the first gifts of the Christmas season with the free flower and plant giveaway on Wednesday 30 November and free merry-go-round rides from 1-24 December.

Canberra Centre’s very own Santa will also be there to spread the Christmas cheer and mark the official start of the Christmas in the City program.

The campaign kicked off with the unveiling of a renewed, giant tree in City Walk and from Thursday 1 December, Canberrans will be able to enjoy a program of festive installations and performances in the city, free merry-go-round rides and a digital Advent calendar of fantastic offers from local businesses.

Take a stroll down City Walk, now ‘Christmas Walk’, and embrace uniquely Canberran Christmas installations, a canopy of magical fairy lights and plenty of photo opportunities.

See the City Centre come to life with Christmas-themed roving performances, singing, dancing and entertainment every Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoon for the first three weekends in December.
