Chef and restaurateur Matt Moran’s newest venture has arrived in Canberra, with sandwich bar, &Sando, opening in the city today.
&Sando offers a range of different sandwiches and some pastries that should cater to any sandwich lover, with the full menu available for take-away. The sandwiches are made using a mixture of Sonoma and Under breads.
The deli-style sandwiches are made from combinations of classic ingredients including salami, mortadella, ham, provolone, pickles and veg.
The menu features several options; Shroomy, Tuna Fish, Chix Schnitz, Spicy Deli, Not so boring, Pastrami Me and the Steak Sanga. Gluten free bread is available on request for an additional $4. Full menu is pictured at the end of the article.
“&Sando will be my first sandwich shop; it’s going to be a lot of fun!”, said Moran.
“I love a good sandwich, whether it’s eating one at home or from one of the many great sandwich shops nearby. There has been a pretty big sandwich boom across Australia.”
Moran’s sister venue to &Sando, Compa, is set to open next Tuesday, 9 April. Compa is an Italian steakhouse that is set to be the hero venue and is located right next door to &Sando. Click here to make a booking at Compa.
&Sando is located at 148 Bunda St, near Raku. Opening hours: Tuesday – Friday: 7 – 3pm, Saturday: 8 – 3pm. They will open on Sundays and Mondays following Mother’s Day.
