Motorcyclist dies in crash near Braidwood

A motorcyclist has died after his bike left the Kings Highway and crashed 20km north-west of Braidwood yesterday morning.

Emergency services were called to the Kings Highway, Manar, about 11:30am, Friday 7 February, and found a 57-year-old man was critically injured when his bike struck a pole.

Two passersby rendered assistance; however, he was unable to be revived and died at the scene.

Officers attached to Monaro Police District have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Itโ€™s believed the man was from Batemans Bay.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
