UPDATE: ACT Policing advises this morning that the two missing boys they posted about on Monday have been located safe and well. They thank Canberra residents for all their assistance.
5 February: ACT Policing is seeking urgent assistance from the public to locate vour-year-old David Hughes, two-year-old River Hughes, and their father, 36-year-old man Garry Hughes.
Police believe Garry and the children left a residence in Oxley about 10.30am today, Monday 5 February.
Four-year-old David is described as Caucasian, with curly brown hair, wearing a green t-shirt and blue shoes, while two-year-old River is described as Caucasian with straight brown hair, wearing a grey t-shirt and orange shorts.
Garry is described as Caucasian in appearance, about 188cm (6’1”) tall, with a slim build, fair complexion, shoulder length dark blonde hair with a beard, and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a grey/navy blue t-shirt, dark pants, dark-coloured runners, and a yellow cap.
They are believed to be travelling in a white Toyota station wagon, a white Hyundai i30, or possibly on public transport. The children may also be seen in a black and grey pram/stroller with a red seat.
Police and the boy’s family hold serious concerns for their welfare, and are requesting the public’s urgent assistance to locate them.
