Campbell’s The Parade tops out

Canberra developer JWLand has celebrated the topping out of the fifth and final instalment of the Campbell5 precinct, The Parade.

The topping out ceremony held today (Thursday 15 October) marked the completion of the building structure for the $210 million development bordering Constitution Avenue and Anzac Parade.

The occasion was marked with the raising of a tree to the top of the building, an ancient Scandinavian tradition customary for topping out ceremonies.

“We are immensely proud of what we have created here in the Campbell5 precinct,” said JWLand’s National Head of Development, Michael Prendergast.

“The Parade will signify the completion of our journey of realising a thriving new urban precinct that is designed and delivered to stand the test of time”.

Once completed, The Parade will be home to 242 one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom apartments, as well as two rooftop gardens and shared kitchen and dining facilities.

“The Parade has been designed around indoor-outdoor living to make the most of the stunning surrounds and lifestyle that comes with living in Campbell,” Mr Prendergast said.

“The newly created social landscape is one of my favourite aspects of Campbell5. The precinct was designed to foster that community feeling which is missing from many modern standalone residential developments.

Prendergast said the precinct’s Hassett Park has increased community spirit in the area, with the Campbell community regularly utilising the green space – “a testament to the success of the vision we had for the precinct”.

“With every passing year, there is more commercial amenity being added within the existing buildings bringing with it a unique and varied offering,” he said.

Construction is expected to be completed next year, with the first residents to move in in mid-2021.

Apartments at The Parade start at $435,000. For more information, visit the Campbell5 website or visit the display suite, 9 Pentland Street, Campbell.
