The Green Shed Underground to re-open this weekend

After closing in May, The Green Shed has announced they will be re-opening one of their stores this Saturday for both shopping and dropping.

In recent weeks, The Green Shed has been dropping hints via social media that they were cooking up a plan. That plan has now been revealed as they are set to re-open their ‘The Green Shed Underground’ store from 11am to 5pm this Saturday 6 July. The shop will then be open for dropping and shopping Tuesday-Saturday 11am-5pm.

The store is located in the city at Basement level Saraton Building, 34 East Row, Canberra.

The Green Shed posted the announcement message on Facebook:

“We’re excited to announce that we will be reopening our store ‘The Green Shed Underground’. For both Shopping and Dropping.”

We’re having our first day back This Saturday from 11am-5pm and we hope to see you there!

A few things to read through.

The Underground: The Underground will now be accepting many of the things we used to accept at our sheds! This means, clothes, shoes, knick knacks, pictures, posters and much much more. Unfortunately our location in the city will limit our ability to accept any larger items such as furniture or building materials.

This means no furniture and no building materials, no lawnmowers and items of the like etc.

The shop will be open for both shopping and dropping Tuesday – Saturday 11am-5pm.

Clothing Bins: We are bringing back donation bins!

Where possible we will be locating donation bins at local community centres in order to make the process of offloading unwanted goods as convenient as possible. At this time we will begin in Canberra’s central suburbs until we’re able to expand the operation.

More information will be made available at our website. Which should be going live with information around 7pm tonight!

We’re looking to make a serious effort at continuing The Green Shed’s mission of growing the Re-Use space into a real industry! A mission that combats the issues of consumerism in a pragmatic and community orientated way.

And a million thank you’s to everyone for the support. We hope to bring our energy and professionalism to the store and the community for a long time yet.

We are very busy with the shop and all the stuff so please bare with us while we are a little hard to contact and somewhat imprecise with information at this time.”
