ACT Policing officers arrested three men early this morning, Saturday 6 May, after a fight outside a nightclub in Bunda Street, Canberra City.
It will be alleged that shortly after midnight, police on patrol observed an altercation and arrested two men, a 31-year-old from Kambah and a 25-year-old from Kaleen.
While effecting these arrests, a third man attempted to intervene and allegedly assaulted one of the attending police officers. He was arrested short time later.
The 31-year-old has been charged with fighting in a public place and breach of a good behaviour order, and the 25-year-old with fighting in a public place and breach of an intensive correction order. Both are due to appear in the ACT Magistrates Court today.
The third man, a 24-year-old from Kambah, was granted bail and is due to appear in the ACT Magistrates Court on 29 May charged with assaulting a frontline community service provider and obstructing a territory public official.
