17-year-old Tuggeranong teen facing further sexual assault charges

ACT Policing has laid fresh sex assault charges against a 17-year-old Tuggeranong district boy following his arrest earlier today, 30 November.

Police previously arrested the boy on Saturday 12 November earlier this year on four charges relating to three separate teenage girls.

Since this time, two additional victims have come forward bringing the total number of alleged victims to five.

Police today arrested the boy in relation to new charges – five counts of act of indecency without consent, and single counts of sexual intercourse without consent; choke, suffocate, strangle another person; and common assault.

The boy is expected to face the ACT Children’s Court this afternoon.

Police are urging any victims of sexual assault, including anyone who is aware of intimate images being shared without the subject’s consent, to report these criminal activities.

If you or someone you know has been affected by sexual violence, you can report to police by attending a police station or calling 131444.

You can also submit an online report for historical sexual assault for incidents that occurred more than six months ago.

If your report relates to this matter, please quote 7222548.

Anyone who can assist police is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website. Information can be provided anonymously.
