2022 Super W draw confirmed, Brumbies to start season against Tahs

The draw for the 2022 Super W season has been confirmed with the Brumbies set to get their season underway against the defending champion NSW Waratahs at home.

Their first two home matches will give Brumbies fans a chance to see both of their sides in action as part of double headers with the men’s team.

The first double header sees the Brumbies take on the Waratahs on Saturday 5 March and the second has the Brumbies taking on the Reds on Friday 18 March.

Viking Park will host the Brumbies final home against the Western Force on Sunday 3 April, with the side travelling to Melbourne and Brisbane to play the Rebels at AAMI Park and Fijiana Drua at Suncorp Stadium.

Brumbies CEO, Phil Thomson said he’s excited for the upcoming season.

“We’re thrilled to be able to share the draw of the 2022 Super W season with our members and fans today.”

“A lot of work has gone into making the draw work and we believe it’s been worth the wait, with more double-headers than ever before and the exciting inclusion of the Fijiana Drua.

“Dan and his team have been working tremendously hard for a long time so it will be fantastic for us as an organisation to get the Super W season underway with a double-header against the Waratahs next Saturday.”

Brumbies head coach, Dan Hawke said the team is ready to go for their season opener.

“We’re thankful to finally have a draw in place and as a team we’re buzzing to get going next Saturday as one club against the Waratahs.”

“Having the traditional front runners at home is a fantastic opportunity for us but saying that, the competition as a whole looks very strong and every game will be a final for us.”
