21-year-old loses licence after speeding on Erindale Drive

A 21-year-old woman has lost their licence on the spot after being clocked 53km/h over the speed limit in Fadden.

About 8:20pm last night, 3 July, a member from the Major Collision Team pulled over a grey Mazda travelling along Erindale Drive, Fadden.

The 21-year-old was recorded driving 133km/h in a posted 80km/h zone.

When officers spoke to the woman she produced a NSW Provisional driver and was issued with Traffic Infringement Notice and an Immediate Suspension Notice, suspending her right to drive in the ACT for 90 Days.

She will be fined $1847 and accrue six demerit points.

It is the fourth time ACT Policing has issued an Immediate Suspension Notice for excessive speeding on ACT roads since legislative changes came into effect at the end of June.
