23-year-old man dies in crash on Federal Highway near Sutton

A 23-year-old man has died following a crash on the Federal Highway near Sutton in the early hours of this morning, Saturday 15 April.

The collision happened at about 1am and involved a ute and a B-double semi-trailer.

The driver of the ute was found dead at the scene and is still yet to be identified.

The 53-year-old driver of the truck was not seriously injured in the accident but has been taken to hospital for mandatory testing.

Northbound traffic is being diverted diverted onto Mckeahnie Lane then Federal Highway Service Road, Sutton Road then sent back onto the highway at Sutton Road.
