25-year-old man dies in crash at Bathurst involving stolen ACT car

A 25-year-old man has died following a single-vehicle crash at Bathurst NSW overnight involving a vehicle stolen from the ACT.

About 10pm Wednesday 1 November, emergency services were called to Lloyds Road following reports of a single-vehicle crash.

SNW Police officers from Chifley Police District attended and found a Jaguar XE – reportedly stolen from the ACT on Tuesday – had lost control 20m west of Vale Road and rolled, ejecting the driver before coming to rest in a nearby paddock.

The driver was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics; however, he died at the scene.

Two passengers – a 20-year-old woman and 19-year-old man – were taken to Orange Base Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A crime scene was established and forensically examined.

An investigation is underway into the circumstance surrounding the crash.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
