A 37-year-old Reid man has been charged with one count of murder following the death of his partner during an incident in September last year.
On 9 September 2022 police were called to a unit complex in Reid as ACT Ambulance Service paramedics treated a 36-year-old woman who had suffered a number of injuries to her body. Despite the efforts of paramedics, the woman was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Initial investigations were unable to identify a clear cause of death, however later information indicated the woman died as a result of blunt force trauma.
A murder investigation was commenced and yesterday (Thursday 2 February) the 37-year-old man was arrested and charged with one count of murder.
The man is scheduled to appear in the ACT Magistrates Court today 3 February.
