Police seek witnesses to aggravated robbery near Glebe Park

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an aggravated robbery on Coranderrk Street, Reid (next to Glebe Park) that occurred about 5.50pm yesterday, Sunday 5 February.

The alleged victim gave three people – two women and one man – a lift to Glebe Park.

When they arrived at the location, one of the trio allegedly produced a knife, demanding the driver’s wallet and phone.

It will be further alleged that when the driver refused, he was assaulted.

Two of the three individuals (both women) ran from the vehicle through Glebe Park and were followed by the male driver who was trying to retrieve his property.

The young female who police allege brandished the knife was arrested and charged with aggravated robbery, and breaching her bail conditions.

Police are still seeking to identify the second woman and the man.

Police believe the man was wearing a light grey hoodie and light grey tracksuit and ran from the location in an unknown direction.

Police believe there were multiple witnesses in the park and urge anyone who may have information regarding the incident to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
