Witnesses sought to stabbing at Orient Kitchen in Weston

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to a stabbing incident at the Orient Kitchen restaurant in Weston in December last year.

About 11.40am on Monday 12 December 2022, a man working at the restaurant in Cooleman Court, was allegedly stabbed by another employee during a dispute.  

A crime scene was established within the restaurant and patrols circulated the area to locate the offender. 

About 1.55pm, the alleged offender was located and arrested for recklessly inflicting grievous bodily harm. 

Police spoke with a number of witnesses that were present inside the restaurant at the time of the incident, however are aware some customers who were also present left the restaurant as the incident was occurring prior to police arrival. 

Police would still like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident who has not yet spoken to police.
