Witnesses sought after Hume road rage incident

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses and dash-cam footage of an alleged road rage incident in Hume on Thursday 27 April.

About 5.30pm, a white single-cab utility appeared to be deliberately blocking a silver hatch displaying P plates at the northern end of Sheppard Street. A man was allegedly seen aggressively engaging the driver of the silver hatch.

Soon after the hatch drove away, but the utility continued to follow it closely.

A passer-by driving a blue Holden Astra followed the two vehicles; however, the driver of the utility then allegedly stopped and walked into the path of the Astra. The utility driver then allegedly damaged the Astra as it was driven south on Sheppard Street.

Anyone with dashcam footage or who may have witnessed the incidents is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or on the Crime Stoppers ACT website. Please quote reference 7416438. Information can be provided anonymously.
