73-year-old man dies in skiing incident at Thredbo

A 73-year-old man has died whilst skiing at Thredbo in the NSW Snowy Mountains today, NSW Police have advised.

About 12.30pm on Thursday, 27 July, police have been told the man was skiing when he struck a pole on the edge of the ski run.

Other skiers commenced CPR prior to the arrival of medical staff, however he died at the scene.

Officers from Monaro Police District have established a crime scene and will conduct inquiries into the incident.

Police will prepare a report for the information of the Coroner.
