A 92-year-old man has been charged with murdering his wife following the discovery of a woman’s body in Fisher yesterday, Monday 31 July.

Police were called to a residence in Fisher about 2.40pm after a care worker on a scheduled visit located a deceased 92-year-old woman in the home.

The man was taken into custody on Monday evening, and has been charged with one count of murder.

He appeared in a bedside hearing this afternoon with the matter adjourned until tomorrow, Wednesday 2 August.
