Hundreds of items – from laptaps and jewellery to tennis balls – believed to have been stolen have been recovered by ACT Policing following the arrest of a woman in a Belconnen carpark overnight. Â
Police were called to a carpark on College Street in Belconnen at about 5.15pm yesterday, Wednesday 3 August, following the location of a white Hyundai Tuscon that had been reported stolen in July.
Located in the Hyundai was a 38-year-old woman who was subsequently placed under arrest.
In the vehicle, officers found hundreds of items believed to have been stolen. The woman was charged with ride/drive in a stolen motor vehicle and possession of stolen property. Â
Included in the recovered items were 65 phones, six iPads and tablets, three laptops, five sets of wireless headphones, 15 items of jewellery, five gaming consoles, five cameras, a sound bar and many other items.
