Woman charged over fatal crash south of Batemans Bay

A woman has been charged following an investigation into a fatal three-vehicle crash on the NSW South Coast last month.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of the Princess Highway and Old Mossy Point Road, at Bimbimbie, 15km south of Batemans Bay, about 5.30pm on Tuesday 4 July, following reports of a multi-vehicle crash.

Officers attached to South Coast Police District attended and found the driver of a hatchback, a 23-year-old man, had died at the scene.

The drivers of the other two vehicles involved, a 46-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man, were treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics and taken to Moruya Hospital with minor injuries.

Police established a crime scene which was forensically examined by specialist police.

Following extensive investigations, the woman was today, 7 August, issued a future court attendance notice (FCAN) for dangerous driving occasioning death, and negligent driving occasioning death.

She is due to appear before Moruya Local Court on Friday 10 November.
