70-year-old man dies in single vehicle crash at Tumbarumba NSW

A 70-year-old man has died after a single-vehicle collision early this morning near Tumbarumba in the NSW Snowy Valleys, NSW Police reports.

About 2.30am on Thursday 28 September, emergency services were called to Bago Forest Road, Tumbarumba, following reports of a single vehicle crash.

On arrival, officers attached to Riverina Police District located a black Ford utility that had crashed into a guard rail.

Despite the efforts of NSW Ambulance paramedics, the 70-year-old driver and sole occupant of the vehicle died at the scene.

A crime scene has been established and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding this incident has commenced.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
