A 17-year-old boy from the Tuggeranong region who was subject to a good behaviour order and also on bail will face the ACT Children’s Court today, Saturday 7 October, in relation to an aggravated robbery in Isabella Plains.

About 2.50am on Saturday 30 September, police allege the teen and an accomplice stole a white Mercedes ML350 SUV and an electric bike from a residence in Ainslie.

Later that morning, about 7.15am, police further allege the pair committed an aggravated robbery at a supermarket located on Ellerston Avenue, Isabella Plains, threatening staff before making off in the stolen Mercedes with a sum of cash.

The vehicle was subsequently located on fire about 7.45am on Betty Maloney Circuit, Banks.

Following a review of CCTV from both the Ainslie residence and the supermarket, an offender – the 17-year-old boy – was identified.
