Canberra’s Tia Gregory looking for ‘true love’ on Love Island

Super savvy and ambitious, 24-year-old Canberra real estate worker Tia Gregory is set to star on the newest season of Love Island Australia.

She says she is over the limited dating pool that Canberra has to offer and is keen to find real love on the show known for creating lasting relationships.

Tia has been single for the past five years and is ready to settle down, looking for a guy who is funny and genuine, and likes to party every now and then. In the past, she has been attracted to bad boys and tattoos, but is looking to change that.

FIVE MINUTES WITH TIA

Why did you want to go on Love Island Australia?
To find true love. I haven’t been in a relationship since I was young and I don’t know what to
expect. I am excited. When I found out I was going to be on I freaked out. But then the idea of
potentially finding love for the first time in five years is an amazing thought, so why not?

Has it been hard to find relationships in the past?
I have found it hard. I’m not picky but I am very independent. I don’t really need that person in my
life if he is going to cause chaos. I want someone who is grown up, mature, has his own job. I
don’t mind a bit of partying here and there. Ultimately I want someone who makes good choices.
I want a man who has a bit of passion, a man who is motivated. A man who has a healthy
lifestyle.

Physically what are you looking for in a man?
I want someone who is tall, tanned. Honestly, I don’t have a type when it comes to looks. I can go
with someone who is blonde and blue-eyed, or someone who is dark with brown eyes.

How will you find it if there are two guys after you?
It will all depend on their personality. At the end of the day it will be about who will be the best for
me and who I feel most comfortable with.

Tell us about your job.
I work in real estate. I have always had great mentors who helped me early on in my career. I
love building relationships in my job with my colleagues and clients. It’s all about relationships
and connections.

Do you think men are intimidated by strong women and women who have a career?
I feel the right guys aren’t intimidated, but the wrong ones can be. The more confidence a guy
has, the more I will like him.

What are you most looking forward to about going to Spain?
The whole experience is going to be amazing. I think one of the biggest things for me will be
opening up and finding love. Just seeing how I get to know myself in a situation like this, and how
I am going to deal with it.

Out of work, what do you like doing, any hobbies?
I love to ski and go to the snow. I go to the beach a lot. I do a lot of solo trips just to meet new
people. I do a lot of travelling by myself. I snowboard too, and do a bit of modelling.
