70-year-old man charged with murder after Bruce stabbing

A 70-year-old man has been charged with murder following the fatal stabbing of a 65-year-old woman at a residence in Bruce earlier this week.

About 5.40pm on Monday 23 October, police were called to a residence on Kinloch Circuit, Bruce following reports of a stabbing.    

The woman suffering stab wounds was pronounced deceased at the scene.    

The man was taken to hospital following the incident, where he remains under police guard.    

He was arrested by ACT Policing Homicide Squad detectives earlier today, Friday 27 October, and will be charged with murder during a bedside hearing this afternoon.
