Police seek witnesses to East Row fight

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to a fight that occurred on East Row in the City in the early hours of Sunday 12 November. 

About 3.30am, police on foot patrol on London Circuit were flagged down by a member of the public and made aware of a large fight occurring outside a liquor store in the East Row bus interchange.  

Police responded and observed a large disturbance involving two groups of men. Oleoresin Capsicum spray was deployed to assist police in breaking up the fight.  

Two men involved in the fight were subsequently taken into custody for being drunk in a public place.  

Investigations into the incident are ongoing, and police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the fight who has not yet come forward.   

Police would particularly like to speak to anyone with information about what may have started the disturbance, which is believed to have occurred about 3.15am.
